Patil on a three-day official visit to Singapore

Singapore, May 30: Home Affairs Minister Shivraj Vishwanath Patil, at the invitation of Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng, will be arriving here on a three-day official visit from today.

''The visit will further foster cooperation between the two Home Affairs ministries,'' a Ministry statement today said.

''The visit will also provide an opportunity to exchange views on security and counter-terrorism, and matters of mutual interest between the law enforcement agencies of both countries,'' it added.

During the visit, till June 2, Mr Patil is scheduled to meet President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law S Jayakumar and Mr Wong.
