Patil to leave for Singapore today
Singapore, May 30 (UNI) Home Affairs Minister Shivraj Vishwanath Patil, at the invitation of Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng, will be arriving here on a three-day official visit from today.
''The visit will further foster cooperation between the two Home Affairs ministries,'' the Minister statement today said.
''The visit will also provide an opportunity to exchange views on security and counter-terrorism, and matters of mutual interest between the law enforcement agencies of both countries,'' it added.
During the visit, till June 2, Mr Patil is scheduled to meet President S R Nathan, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Law S Jayakumar and Mr Wong.
