Hooch claims 4 lives

Ferozabad, May 30 (UNI) Four persons, who had allegedly consumed illicit country liquor at a marriage party here last night, died today during treatment.

Police said Ramkishan, Virendra, Shivpal and Manoj had arrived at village Nangladuli from Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh to attend the marriage function.

However, they fell ill after consuming hooch and were taken to Etawah for treatment. The quartet succumbed this morning.

Meanwhile, proceedings to seal the liquor shop on the directives of police superintendent were on.

A man had also been taken into custody.
