Tarun Gogoi to lead state FMs team for VAT study

Guwahati, May 30: Asom Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will lead the Indian delegation of finance ministers of various states to European and North American countries for study of Value Added Tax.

Mr Gogoi is also the finance minister of the state.

The team will leave for London tomorrow midnight and visit Italy and Canada in the week long tour to familiarise with the VAT system of these countries.

Mr Gogoi, informing this to the media, hoped that his experience would benefit the state exchequer.
