Solatium to mishap victims' families

Chennai, May 30: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has announced a solatium of Rs 50,000 each to the families of two persons who lost their lives in a mishap on May 25.

According to an official press release yesterday, Muthusamy and Perumal died when a temple car collapsed on them after its axle broke during a festival at Selliamman Temple in Perambalur District.

Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, Mr Karunanidhi announced the assistance from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
