Civil Supplies Corp officer held

Hyderabad, May 30 (UNI) Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today conducted simultaneous raids in the houses of R Suryanarayana Reddy, District Manager, Civil Supplies Corporation (CSC) and his relatives here, at Ongole in Prakasham district and Bangalore, and unearthed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of incom.

The properties seized from the arrested officer was to the tune of Rs 45 lakh.They included two houses and two house sites in Hyderabad, two more house sites in Tirupati, two house sites in Bangalore, shares worth Rs 10,000 at Bangalore, seven LIC policies, Household articles worth Rs six lakhs, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs one lakh, one scooter and cash worth Rs 46,000.

He was being produced before the special judge for ACB cases at Nellore, according to a press release from ACB.

In another case, Syed Mounuddin, Additional Revenue Inspector, Bijnepally in Mahbubnagar district was caught red handed by the ACB officials when he demanded and accepted Rs 1500 as bribe from a complainant.
