City experiences pre-monsoon showers

Mumbai, May 30: Mumbai and its suburbs witnessed pre-monsoon showers last night and early this morning, reliving Mumbaikars of the sweltering summer heat.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said here today that the rains in the city last night and this morning were pre-monsoon showers.

Rains are expected to reach Maharashtra in the next three to four days, the officials added.

The maximum temperature would remain around 34 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. Cloudy sky and light rainfall or thundershowers are expected during this time.
