Asom gets 8 Parliamentary Secretaries

Guwahati, May 30 (UNI) For the first time in the Asom Assembly, eight MLAs, who got the rank of Parliament Secreatries, were today sworn in by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

The Parliamentary Secretaries, who will enjoy the status of Minister of State, are Bidya Singh Engle, Bibekanda Doloi, Sarat Saikia, Jibantara Ghatowar, Dildar Rezza, Uttara Kalita, Ajit Singh Mallah and Parameshwar Brahma.

They will assist the Chief Minister in the portfolios held by him.
