Total response to Bidar bandh

Bidar, Karnataka, May 29 (UNI) The bandh, called by various Dalit organisations in protest against the recent attack on Dalits at Chitta village in the district, evoked total response today.

All business establishments and educational institutions remained closed.

The Bidar Superintendent of Police told UNI that the bandh passed off peacefully, with no untoward incident being reported.

Dalit leaders raised slogans demanding action against the culprits for the attack.
