TGI Friday to open 30 more outlets

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) TGI Friday's Inc, the US-based worldwide food outlet chain, will expand its presence in India by opening 30 more outlets in different cities over the next four years,including the second tier towns of Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune, Hyderabad.

Apart from these cities, it also plans to open outlets in Kolkata and Chennai.

TGI Friday's, a subsidary of Carlsons Restaurants Worlwide would be setting up these outlets in collaboration with Bistro Hospitality(P)Ltd. A formal announcement of this Joint Venture was made by Carlsons Restaurants Worlwide President and CEO Richard Snead here today.

''Our goal is to more than triple our investment and the number of restaurants in the next four years.TGI Friday's is a big brand outside the USA and India represents an exciting opportunity for our brand's growth'', Mr Snead said.

All these restaurants would come up with an investment of Rs2.25 crore to Rs 2.5 crore per outlet.

TGI Friday restaurants are currently located in Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon and Bangalore. An additional outlet is under construction in the capital and expected to open this summer.
