Ten die, 16 injured due to lightning

Ranchi, May 29 (UNI) At least 10 people died and 16 others were injured when lightning struck in separate places of Jharkhand during the last 24-hours, according to reports received here.

Six persons of a family died and two others injured when lightning struck near their house at Chandipur-Charkanda under Shahebganj district. The injured were shifted to a hospital.

In an another incident, a woman died in Mangder while another person died while working in the fields at Gangetola under Barmu police station.

In a seperate incident, two persons died and ten others injured, two of them seriously, at Pratapur under Giddore block on Saturday evening, the report stated.

Three persons were also injured at Naodhara-Chimni Bhatta.
