Silver up, gold rates flat in opening session

Mumbai, May 29: Prices of spot silver rose while gold remained steady in the opening session, traders at the bullion market today said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 19,390, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,700, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,750.
