SBI launches SBI e-Hundi facility for TTD
Tirupati, May 29 (UNI) The State Bank of India (SBI), introduced a unique banking facility 'SBI e-Hundi' to the devotees of Lord Venkateswara here today.
Launching the facility Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer A P V N Sarma said a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the two parties over the transaction of donations through SBI ATMs for 15 schemes of TTD and other subordinate Trusts.
Speaking on the occasion SBI chief general manager (Hyderabad circle) V S G Chandrasekhar said all the customers of hundi account could avail the online service, free-of-cost, by using ATM cards.
The TTD would issue a proper receipt or acknowledgement notice to the donors on the basis of the bank receipt.
SBI has already extended the Corporate Internet Banking facilty to the Trust to monitor the fund positions in various schemes.
Further, the bank would extend 'SBI e-Accommodation' facility for booking accommodations and 'SBI e-Aritha Seva' for booking 'Aritha Sevas' and sale of sudarshan and laddu tickets.
An SBI customer can transfer funds from their accounts to TTD through bank's internet 'online sbi.Co.In'.
