Satyam Comp appoints Michael Gallup as senior VP

Mumbai, May 29: Satyam Computer Services has appointed Mr Michael Gallup as the senior vice president of its Energy and Utilities Vertical Business Unit.

Informing the BSE, the company said Mr Gallup will focus on adding value to the existing and new customer relationships, and identifying and developing highend partnerships in the Energy&Utilities area. He will provide leadership in building new-capabilities, enhancing industry-specific service offerings and expanding the Companys global footprint.

Globally, the Energy&Utilities industry is changing. The industry has been witnessing unprecedented market volatility, sustained high oil prices, escalating demands, ever increasing competition for producing resources, a growing array of regulatory compliance issue and emerging market opportunities.

Against this backdrop, Mr Gallup will enable Satyam to tap the huge market potential of the industry, and drive the vertical aggressively towards the next level said Mr Keshab Panda, director and senior vice president, Head, Satyam E&U vertical and Europe operation.
