Rs 6 lakh robbed from cashier, one held

Lucknow, May 29 (UNI) Armed miscreants today robbed a cashier of Rs six lakh in Naka area of the Uttar Pradesh capital.

Later, a person, Anuj, was taken into custody by the police and he confessed to his involvement in the crime.

Police said the robbery took place at a city hotel in Charbagh this morning.

The victim Kishore -- a cashier working with a Ghaziabad-based firm -- had arrived here to make payment for a business transaction.

However, armed miscreants barged into the hotel room and fled with the bag containing the cash.

Meanwhile, Anuj had named Devendra, Devanand, Pushpendra and Kamal as his aides.

A manhunt been launched.
