Rs 43 lakh distributed among J

Srinagar, May 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) President Farooq Abdullah today distributed Rs 43 lakh among the cricketers of the state.

The amount was paid as match fee to the cricketers who had represented the state at national level during the past two years.

JKCA sources said the delay in payment was due to a lack of funds.

A cricketer from Srinagar, Majid, received the highest cheque of Rs 3,32,752 lakh.

Two cricketers from Jammu, Mahajan and Kanwaljit Singh, also received cheques of Rs 3 lakh.

In all, 22 cricketers were paid their match fee.
