MCD completes desealing action

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi today completed its desealing operation, which began on May 23 following the notification of the Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Bill, 2006.

The sealing action had been suspended on May 20 following the notification of the Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Bill, 2006.

The MCD had, till May 19, sealed 14,007 properties out of which 5,710 were desealedn following the filing of affidavit by the concerned owner of the property, which left 8,250 properties to be desealed.

With today's desealing operation, all the properties have been desealed except for about 500 properties whose owners or occupiers have not turned up till today, the MCD said.

These properties will be desealed as and when their owners/occupiers approach the concerned zonal office, the MCD said.
