Man rapes beloved along with his friend

Gurdaspur, May 29 (UNI) A girl was allegedly gangraped by her lover and his friend on the outskirts of Shahpur Kandi near Pathankot last night.

The victimised girl, a graduate residing in Shahpur Kandi township, was gangraped by her lover Surinder Singh and his accomplice Prabhat Guleria.

Surinder Singh, a butcher, had called her on phone and when she arrived to meet him, she found her lover's friend Prabhat Guleria also there in a jeep. Prabhat Guleria then drove the lovers outside the Shahpur Kandi town into a deserted area. There the duo committed the crime, according to an FIR lodged by the girl.

She also stated in the FIR that she cut Prabhat Guleria's tongue in her struggle to save herself.

She said initially she was not willing to go to Surinder Singh when the latter had called her on phone . But she agreed when Surinder called her again at about 10 PM last night.

The Pathankot Police have registered a case against the two, who were at large, on the basis of the girl's complaint. Police said a hunt was on to trace them.
