Man kills mother over tussle for money

Akola, May 29 (UNI) A man murdered his mother after she refused to give money to him, in Umrdari village near Washim district.

Police said the accused, Mobising Rajaram Rathod, attacked his mother Sivanbai Rathod with a sharp weapon on May 25, after she refused to give him money.

The seriously injured woman was admitted to a general hospital here but she succumbed to her injuries last evening.

Meanwhile, the case which was earlier registered u/s 307 (attempt to murder) has now been registered u/s 302 (murder) of the IPC and the accused has been arrested, police said.
