K'taka HC reopens after summer vacation

Bangalore, May 29 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court today reopened after expiry of the summer vacation period.

During the vacation, Mr Justice P Vishwanatha Shetty retired from service. Consequently, the number of judges in the High Court had come down to 34. As the sanctioned strength of the Bench stood at 40, there were six vacancies.

All the civil courts in the State also reopened today after summer vacation.
