Gujarat Speaker pays rich tributes to Savarkar

Gandhinagar, May 28 (UNI) Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Prof Managaldas Patel today paid rich tributes to freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his 123rd birth anniversary.

Prof Patel garlanded the portrait of Savarkar at the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Bhavan here and recalled the contributions of the freedom fighter.

Prof Patel said During his life span, Savarkar worked untiringly for the country's independence and even during his fourteen years of imprisonment under the British regime, he continued his struggle, Prof Patel recalled.
