Follow the good traits of Nepal Maoists: Jana Reddy

Hyderabad, May 29 : The Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said it was high time the Maoists in the state took lessons from the Maoists of Nepal, who understand the people's problems.

Talking to newspersons after the inauguration of the AP Police Data Centre here, Mr Reddy said Maoists in the state were resorting to violence only to make their presence felt. They were not working as per their ideology. '' Condemning the recent Maoist attack on police at Sileru in Visakhapatnam, he assured that the government would bear the medical expenses of a Girijan woman who was injured in the incident.

Asked about recruitment in the police department, Mr Reddy said the government would announce the notification for recruitment within 15 days or in a month.

He said the forthcoming civic polls should not stand as a hurdle to it.
