Engineers India Q4 net slumps 6.16 pc, final dividend at 50 pc
Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) The public sector Engineers India Ltd has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 35.64 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 37.98 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, showing a fall of 6.16 per cent.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income decreased from Rs 361.22 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 201.09 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.
It has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 138.64 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 112.64 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income has decreased from Rs 973.67 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 857.15 crore for FY 05-06.
As per the audited Consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 142.83 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 118.03 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 (FY 04-05). Total Income has decreased from Rs 983.25 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 869.27 crore for FY 05-06.
The Board has recommended 50 per cent as final dividend on the paid up share capital. The total dividend for the year 2005-06 works out at 80 per cent of paid up share capital including an interim dividend @ 30 per cent.
