CPI(M) MLA takes oath in hospital

Kochi, May 29 (UNI) Mr Mathai Chacko of the CPI (M) was sworn in as a member of the Kerala legislative assembly at a hospital where he was undergoing treatment for cancer here today.

Speaker K Radhakrishnan administered the oath to Mr Chacko at the Lakeshore Hospital this afternoon, official sources said.

Mr Chacko was elected to the Kerala assembly from Thiruvambadi constituency in the recent state elections. He wrested the seat from the IUML.
