CBI court sends 'corrupt' MCD official to jail
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) A CBI special court today sentenced a supervisor of the MCD to two-year imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 6,000 on charges of corruption.
Sessions Judge Sunil Gaur held Narendra Kumar guilty of accepting a bribe of Rs 16,000 from a rickshawpuller in 1997.
The rickshawpuller, Ram Kumar, accused the MCD official of asking for Rs 2,000 every month for permission to ply his vehicle.
