Army jawan injured, HM terrorist surrender
Jammu, May 29 (UNI) An army jawan of 49 Rashtriya Rifles was seriously injured in a mine blast which took place at Bati Dhar in Poonch district, police said here today.
The jawan has been admitted to army hospital in Poonch where his condition is stated to be stable.
According to police, one terrorist identified as Abdul Qayoom alias Javed Iqbal of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit laid his arms and ammunition before the Senior Superintendent of police and commanding officer of 54 Rashtriya Rifle today and joined the mainstream.
Surrendered militant was a resident of village Tall Mahal of Mahore tehsil. He handed over one Ak 47 rifle, one Ak 47 magazine, 33 rounds and one radio set to security forces.
