Ailing BNP leader killed in hospital
Dhaka, May 28 (UNI) Leader of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Mafiz Biswas, who earlier survived an asassination attempt, was killed in a bomb attack tonight at the Khulna Medical College Hospital in southwestern Bangladesh.
Mr Biswas, 37, died on the spot when miscreants lobbed a bomb into the hospital room where he was admitted with splinter injuries from a bomb attack in Narail district on May 5, witnesses said.
No one has claimed responsibility of the blast so far.
Mr Biswas was a BNP leader of Narail district, adjacent to Khulna district.
