ABVP demanding for a reservation model
Pune, May 29 (UNI) The Akhil Bharitya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has sought a ''model'' from the Central government that would be acceptable to all sections to address the discontent, which has arisen from the issue of ''reservations.'' ABVP National Executive Body while approving reservations in principle, asked for a model that can be arrived through dialogue with all sections and communities. For the purpose they suggested that Human Resources Cell be set up in all colleges and universities.
A meeting to discuss the same will be held in Delhi in July. The body also said that there should be more controls in the admission and fee structure processes in private educational institutions.
The issue of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Bangladeshis in Assam, was raised on the occasion. The body sought to know the action taken by the government in wiping it out and assurances for providing employment.
''So far, two-and-half crore youth are unemployed and the government has failed in providing security to them.'' Around four resolutions were passed by the body and about 188 members attended the meetings.
