20 robbers arrested

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Delhi police have arrested 20 criminals involved in several incidents of robberies in running buses in South and South East Delhi.

The 20 men were arrested from different parts of Delhi, under a special drive by the South district police.

Four were arrested from Ring Road near Sarai Kale Khan on Saturday night whole they were planning a robbery in the area and 16 others were held this afternoon from different areas of South Delhi.

While six robbers were arrested from near the the Nizamuddin flyover at 1230 hours, five were arrested from Press Enclave near Malviya Nagar and five others nabbed from the DND flyover near New Friends colony.

All those arrested were involved in crimes in running buses in all parts of the capital. They have also been targetting buses bound for other states from the Sarai Kale Khan ISBT.

Police have also recovered from their possession one country made pistol with live cartridges, 11 knives and a three wheeeler used in the crime.
