TN govt effects another reshuffle in police administration
Chennai, May 28 (UNI)The Tamil Nadu government today carried out reshuffle in the police administration by transferring and posting senior officials.
An official release here said Mr P Kanappan, SP on repatriation from the Government was posted Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhavaram in Chennai in an existing vacancy.
Mr K Shankar, SP of Karur district, was transferred and posted as SP, Cuddalore district.
Ms Vidya D Kulkarni, Deputy Commssioner of Police, Crime, Coimbatore city, was transferred and posted as SP of Karur District in place of K Shankar while Mr Najmul Hoda, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Coimbatore city, was transferred and posted as SP, Madurai District.
Mr T S Anbu, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Coimbatore city, was transferred and posted as SP, Madurai District in another existing vacancy.
The SP-Economic Offences Wing-II, Chennai was transferred and posted as SP of Ramanathapuram District while Mr T Elangovan, SP was posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, Palani.
The release said Mr I Raja, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Coastal Security Group, Chennai has been promotd as IG, Headquarters, Chennai in place of Mr P C Lallawmsanga, who has been transferred and posted as IG, Administration, Chennai.
