Major administrative shake-up in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 28 (UNI) In a major administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government today transferred the charges of more than a dozen IAS officers including five collectors, official sources said.

The much-awaited orders, issued by the General Administration Department, shifted the district magistrates of Durg, Bilaspur, Korba, Kabirdham and Janjgir-Champa.

Secretary (Public Relations) C K Khaitan was bestowed additional charge of the School Education Department, Secretary (Revenue) R C Sinha was moved to the Revenue Board and Principal Secretary (GAD) Pankaj Dwivedi -- an Andhra Pradesh cadre officer -- was relieved of his charge.

Member (Revenue Board) Narayan Singh was transferred as Secretary (Public Health Engineering), Secretary (Food and Civil Supplies) S K Raut was relieved of the additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs, Secretary (School Education) Alok Shukla was shifted as Secretary (Revenue, Religious Trusts and Law) and Special Secretary (GAD) Ajaypal Singh was bestowed additional charge of Director (Audit and Accounts).

Secretary (Woman and Child Development) Suneet Kunjar was moved as Registrar (Cooperatives), Secretary (Higher Education) A G V Prasad was transferred as Secretary (Technical Education, Science and Technology) and Secretary (PHE) K D P Rao was shifted as Secretary (Higher Education).

Durg Collector Jawahar Srivastava was moved as Secretary (GAD and Parliamentary Affairs), Special Secretary (Tribes) Subrat Sahu would assume Mr Srivastava's earlier charge, Bilaspur DM Vikassheel was transferred as Managing Director (Warehousing Corporation) and Korba Collector Gaurav Dwivedi would assume Mr Vikassheel's previous post.

Joint Secretary (Panchayats and Rural Development) Sanjay Garg was shifted as DM, Korba, Kabirdham Collector B L Tiwari was moved as DM, Janjgir-Champa, in an exchange of places with Ms Sonmani Vora.
