Heavy rain lashes coastal Karnataka and Kerala
Pune, May 28(UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Heat wave conditions prevailed in west Rajasthan and in some parts of east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana.
In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to setin, day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Punjab, appreciably above normal in Konkan and Goa and were above normal in Himachal Pradesh and in remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh.
They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Manipur, Telangana, Rayalaseema and in some parts of Orissa and of Marathwada, appreciably below normal in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Vidarbha, north interior Karnataka and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the regions.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, madhya Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka and at a few places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and mainly dry weather will prevail over south Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, coastal Karnataka, Kerala.
Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Lakshadweep and many places in south interior Karnataka.
Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Bihar, east Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh.
Rains or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Uttaranchal, Konkan and Goa and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
