Former Orissa MLA dies

Bhubaneswar, May 28 (UNI) Former MLA Chakradhar Satapathy, who defeated Mr Biju Patnaik in the Patkura Assembly constituency during 1967 Assembly elections, passed away at a private hospital here today. He was 76.

Mr Satapathy was elected to the state Assembly on the Praja Socialist Party ticket.

A resident of Kalabuda in under Patkura, he had been undergoing treatment for cardiac and lung diseases for past one week in the hospital.

He is survived by two daughters and a son.
