Criminal defamation against 'Times Now' to be heard
Mumbai, May 28 : Hearing on the criminal defamation case filed against Times Global Broadcasting Company Limited and eight others by Guruswarup Srivastava is likely to come up tomorrow before the 8th metropolitan Magistrate here.
Mr Srivastava has filed complaint against nine persons including Times Global Broadcasting Company Limited, also known as 'Times Now' and its editors for telecasting defamatory articles for lowering his prestige since March 19 this year without any basis, which has resulted in damaging his reputation.
He said in his compliant ''Times now has an exclusive information that the enforcement directorate has prepared a report in which Guru Swaroop Srivastava is the target of a detailed investigation, pitching him as India's first International financial scamster.'' The petition was admitted in first week of the month and will come up for hearing tomorrow.
