Swami Madhavashram fears for life

Rudraprayag, May 27 (UNI) Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Jyotirpith Swami Madhavashram today said his life was in danger.

Addressing a press conference at Agastyamuni, he said under a conspiracy 'supari'(contract money) has been given to kill him. He refused to divulge details about the involved crime syndicate, but when prodded further, he said, ''I have come to know through a reliable source that Rs two crore have been given to kill me.'' He said the Delhi police has already been informed about it.

Asked about a possible reason behind it, he said there might be some people who were not happy with his dedication towards spreading religion and belief, and hence were hatching a conspiracy against him.
