Southern Empire claims Karnataka Police Cup

Bangalore, May 27 (UNI) Favourite 'Southern Empire' (B.Prakash up) won the Karnataka Police Cup, the main event of the races held here today.

The winner was the joint property of Dr M A M Ramaswamy and Mr Zavaray S Poonawalla rep Poonawalla Racing and Breed Ltd and trained by S Ganapathy.

Jockeys S Ganapathy and C Alford scored a double each, while trainer Ganapathy scored a treble.

Six favourites obliged punters in a card of eight events.
