Shekhwat urges people to increase art awareness
Jaipur, May 23 (UNI) Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today emphasised on the need for conservation and publicity of art to increase its awareness among the common man.
Laying the foundation stone of the art gallery, museum, library and research in memory of Padamshree Ramgopal Vijayvargiya near Jal Mahal here, Mr Shekhawat said people should raise questions about art, only then will an interest be created about our rich art and culture.
He said it is not easy to understand and give shape to art but this museum will help artists.
He also emphasised the need for opening the old intricately decorated havelis for the common man to help them get an insight into the art of olden days.
Earlier Ramgopal Vijayvargiya Memorial Trust's president Mohan Lal Gupta said Rs 450 crore would be spent on building the museum in an area spread over 2,500 sq mts.
