One killed, 10 hurt in lightning
Bilaspur, May 27 (UNI) A boy was killed and 10 others suffered serious burns as lightning struck yesterday at two places in Bilaspur division of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
A 9-year-old boy Mukesh Kumar was killed and his younger sister suffered burns as lightning struck a tree, under which they had taken shelter from rain, at village Kesla near Bilha in Bilaspur district.
In a similar incident at Uramkela village near Surajpur in Sarguja district, nine people, including three women, were injured in lightning. Condition of three was stated to be serious and they were admitted to Sitapur hospital.
