Mizoram in semis

Pondicherry, May 27 (UNI) Mizoram boys entered the semi-finals of the fourth Junior National seven-a-side football championship here today.

In the lone quarterfinal match played here this evening Mizoram outplayed Orissa 4-0.

In the girls league matches, Sri Lanka prevailed over Pondicherry by a solitary goal. However, they went down 2-0 to Tamil Nadu in the other match.

Following are the results (Boys league)-: Mumabi beat Himachal Pradesh 9-0, Vidarbha beat Karnataka 6-0, Chatisgarh drew 2-2 with Maharashtra, Orissa beat Dadranagar Haveri 2-0, Punjab beat Maharashtra 1-0, Mumbai beat Karnataka 5-0, West Bengal beat Chattisgarh 4-0, Manipur beat Sri Lanka 2-0, Nagaland beat Bihar 4-0 and Maharashtra beat Jharkand 6-1.
