Lohani returns to Tourism Corpn
Bhopal, May 27 (UNI) Indian Railway Service official Ashwini Lohani, who has to his credit taking the loss-making Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation out of the red, returns as the corporation's Managing Director after a one year gap.
The state government appointed him as TDC Managing Director yesterday. He is likely to join his new assignment in the first week of June, official sources said.
Mr Lohani returned to his parent cadre last May apparently after the state government declined to pay the house rent of his Delhi residence, where his ailing father was staying.
During his earlier stint, Mr Lohani converted the tourism hotels and motels into profit-making ventures.
