Jatia supports fresh reservation but also blasts Centre

Bhopal, May 27 (UNI) While supporting the Centre's decision to implement 27 per cent reservation for OBC students in higher-education institutions, the BJP's Madhya Pradesh unit today simultaneously alleged that the Congress-led UPA regime was causing a social schism by hastily implementing reservation for political gain.

''The BJP is tied to the issue as the Reservation Bill was earlier unanimously passed in Parliament,'' BJP state President Satyanarayan Jatia told reporters here.

Maintaining that it was Centre's responsibility to manage implementation of reservation, he added that the announcement was made sans a proper policy in place.
