New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Top leaders of the BJP today discussed the issues to be included in the agenda at the two-day Party's National Executive commencing from May 29.

The meeting attended by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of Opposition L K Advani, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, BJP President Rajnath Singh and other top leaders approved the resolutions to be placed before the Executive.

Sources said one of the issues that would come up before the Executive was an amendment to the party constitution that will take away the powers granted to the state units for removal of Organising Secretaries after it was seen that some units like Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar had misused the provision.

The proposal is to have this power vested in the Central Party.

The other leaders who attended the meeting included Mrs Sushma Swaraj, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Arun Jaitley, Bal Apte.

Meanwhile the party's Organising Secretaries and state incharges will be meeting tomorrow to apprise the party about the progress made in the states since the last Executive and their proposed plan of action for the next six months.

Earlier in the day, Convenors of various BJP Morchas met to apprise the party about the activities of their respective Morchas to reach out to various sections of people be it kisans, traders, advocates, doctors, economic cell, share investors cell.
