Heavy rains affect life in Jharkhand

Chatra, May 27(UNI) Normal life was affected and communication disrupted in Jharkhand's Chatra district due to heavy rains during the past 24 hours, official sources said.

Intermittent rains have been experienced for the second day today.

Communication between Tandowa-Piprwar, Piprwar-Hazaribagh was disrupted as a bridge over river Sadawah was damaged because of sudden rush of water in the river.

The Tandowa block was cut off from the state capital due to the damage of the bridge.

Telephone services were also disrupted by rains, sources said.
