GM India to expand customer service network

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) In a bid to support the expanding number of customers and widen its network, General Motors India will appoint more dealers and open authorised service outlets in urban and semi-urban cities in India.

''By the year end we intend to put in place 110 sales points and an equal number of service outlets across the country,'' GM India President and Managing Director Rajeev Chaba said.

The company has inaugurated its new dealership facility in Faridabad near the capital. It now has 85 sales points and 89 services outlets across the country.

''The facility will support our customers in Delhi and NCR. A team of GM trained engineers will be available at the workshop with the latest garrage tools and tackles, diagnostic equipment and computerised facilities for attending to every need of the customers,'' Mr Chaba said.

A wide range of exclusive accessories will also be on display for customers' benefit, he added.

GM India is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors Corporation. Besides Chevrolet Aveo, it manufactures Chevrolet Tavera and Chevrolet Optra at its facility in Halol in Gujarat.
