Four ultras nabbed from Chandil

Jamshedpur, May 27 (UNI) Four ultras of proscribed CPI (Maoist) were arrested along with arms and live bomb at Lupungdih village under Chandil police station in Seraikela-Kharsawan district yesterday.

Police patrol was intensified in the naxal-hit areas in view of three-day economic blockade call given by the banned outfit from yesterday.

A police team traced four youth roaming suspiciously near a hotel and when they noticed the police jeep chasing them, they tried to flee, police said.

Police nabbed the youth and recovered four double barrel guns and one live bomb from their house.

They were sent to Seraikella jail and a case was lodged in Chandil police station. Police said the seized guns were looted from a security personnel of S S Sponge Iron Company two weeks back.

The Naxalites named twelve other activists during the grilling.

Police launched a manhunt to arrest them and patrolling in and around the district was intensified following the arrest.
