Four arrested for betting on Indo-WI ODI

Rajkot, May 27 (UNI) Police arrested four people for betting on the fourth one-day international cricket match between India-West Indies here last night.

Acting on a tip off, a police party rushed at the Tirupatinagar main road here where three persons were betting on mobile phones while watching the fourth one-day international match on television.

A betel shop owner, Ramesh Patel, was also arrested in this connection, police said.

Four mobile phones and Rs 9,400 cash were seized from the place.

The three others arrested are -- Kaushik Jethawa, Gandu Hemrajbhai and Ronak Thakkar -- police said, adding that investigations into the case are on.
