Easy victories for favourites

Pondicherry, May 27 (UNI) Orissa, Manipur, Nagaland and Gujarat boys along with Chhattisgarh, Mumbai, Maharastra, Mizoram and Pondicherry registered convincing victories in the league matches of the fourth Junior National seven-a-side football championships here today.

Orissa defeated Andhra Pradesh 3-0 while, Manipur prevailed over Tamil Nadu academy 1-0, Gujarat outplayed Chhattisgarh 2-0 and Nagaland beat Chhattisgarh 2-0.

Chhattisgarh however beat Jharkand 2-0, Mumbai beat Vidarbha 2-0, Maharastra beat Vidarbha 2-0, Mizoram beat West Bengal 4-1 and Pondicherry beat Gujarat 5-0.
