Dy. Cm directs officials to speedup development works
Bangalore, May 27 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today directed the officials to speedup the implementation of on-going as well as newly drafted development programmes as announced in the current year's state budget.
He reviewed the works undertaken by various departments including Social Welfare, Agriculture, Tourism, Health and Family Welfare and Industries and Commerce at a meeting held here today.
He asked the officials to finalise setting up of a development corporation for Scheduled Tribes by first week of June. He expressed displeasure over delay in issuing Government Orders regarding the schemes announced in the budget. They should pass all such orders before May 31, he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister also warned the officials against the delay in implementation of developmental programmes. Special thrust must be given to improve infrastructure and build houses for the poor like Fishermen and Weavers, he added.
