BJP fixes target to enroll six lakh new members
Ranchi, May 27 (UNI) The BJP, Jharkhand unit, today fixed a target to enroll about six lakh new members during a statewide two-phase drive beginning from June 20.
The decision of the new membership drive was taken at a party meeting held here, party sources said.
The party also decided to send about 1,000 workers to Jammu to stage a dharna there in protest against ''ongoing atrocities and mass killing of Hindus by Pakistani-backed terrorists.
The meeting, which was attended among others by Chief Minister Arjun Munda, was presided over by state president Jadu Nath Pandey.
