AIAI welcomes US Senate decision on doubling H1-B visa

Mumbai, May 27 (UNI) All India Association of Industries (AIAI) has welcomed the decision of US Senate for doubling of H1-B visa for skilled foreign workers.

AIAI President Vijay Kalantri today said doubling of visa for skilled foreign workers from 65,000 to 1,15,000 will benefit the IT and the hi-tech industry in the US.

He said the process of issuing H1-B visa and business visa should be expedited, as India and US are the largest trading partners on the globe.

This decision will not only help enhancing of trade, but it is a clear indication of the strength of Indo-US relations, he added.
